El pontífice, reconocido apasionado de los deportes, recibió a los corredores, un total de 159, a los pies de la basílica de San Pedro, dentro del Estado pontificio.

Simon Yates es campeón del Giro de Italia 2025

El británico del Team Visma se quedó con la primera grande de ciclismo del calendario con un tiempo de 82:31:01. Egan Bernal terminó siendo el mejor colombiano.

El inglés del Visma se impuso en el ataque en la jornada montañosa y es campeón virtual del Giro de Italia. Los colombianos perdieron tiempo, pero conservan su cupo en los primeros diez puestos.
